the 24 Hour Painting Marathon is going on right now over at the Center On Contemporary Arts in Downtown Seattle. Here are a few pictures taken earlier this evening...
Having done this event twice myself, I applaud the effort of these talented artists to endure 24 hours of painting straight through and come out making some very amazing works.

I only did it once. It wasn' too bad. The auction at the end was worse. I can see why many arists didn't attend that part of the shinanigans.

I just realized that Whites probably holds the world record for COCA marathons. Unless David Kane logged in more in the early years. Ed Fotheringham could have been a contenter but he stopped 7 years ago? How many has Miss Maxi done? She bought one of my pieces from the time I was included.

from what Rachel told me, she has done 7 and David Kane has done 10, so David holds the record. I've done 2, I have a long way to go, if I ever do one again...
